Richard Shelley is standing at the mouth of a newly constructed pond.  The pasture next to the pond was a cropland field that had been subject to erosion because of steep slopes.  Mr. Shelley planted the field to native grass in 2017.  The grass and new pond will provide forage and water to his livestock and the erosion that was taking place is no longer a concern.
